Seth Newberry

Seth Newberry has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He has held senior positions in product marketing, product development, field operations, and market research, all with significant international content. His industry experience includes companies providing network transport equipment and services, voice switching products, and messaging applications.

As Vice President of Research for RHK, Inc., a market research firm specializing in the telecommunications industry, Mr. Newberry was responsible for all methodologies, forecasts and topics for the Optical Components, Optical Transport, Broadband Access (including FBWA and mobile wireless) Switching and Routing and OSS markets. He is well versed in the technologies, suppliers and operators that make up the public switched network and is a frequent speaker at trade shows and industry conferences.

Mr. Newberry ran the partner development and operations functions for Wildfire Communications (now owned by Orange Plc.), a speech-based unified messaging platform developer serving PCS operators. In this role he developed important supplier partnerships and also ran a number of successful Operator field trials. Mr Newberry held similar roles for Octel Communications (now owned by Lucent), the leading supplier of messaging systems for Enterprises and Operators.

Mr. Newberry has a strong background in network equipment and systems integration. He was responsible for Raynet Corporation's successful implementation of the first fiber-to-the-home program for the Deutsche Bundespost. This program provided broadband access for voice, data and video to urban and rural areas of East Germany. The Raynet system is still operational in the former GDR.

Mr. Newberry also has extensive experience in systems integration, network operations and field support, having been the division General Manager for Ascom Network Services (ANS). ANS provides outsourced network management, system design and installation services and field repair and support for local and wide-area networks worldwide. Clients include government agencies, police departments, and large enterprises.

Mr. Newberry holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Arizona.
