Steve Ness

Steve NessSteve Ness is the former CEO of Dynamic Instruments, Inc., which was sold in 2007. It was founded in 1984 by a group of senior executives formerly associated with Spectral Dynamics, Inc. and Scientific Atlanta. With their business background and expertise in Digital Signal Processing and Rotating Machinery Monitoring, they were able to develop the company into a leading manufacturer of industrial and military voice recording and instrumentation products.

Through the 80's and early 90's the company grew its industrial process control business (Hardy Instruments, Inc.) and military vibration analysis instrumentation segment through innovative technical development and customer application knowledge. This provided the company with the ability to win several significant contracts with the U.S. Navy and Postal service.

In 1991, Dynamic Instruments acquired a company manufacturing ruggedized communications recorders primarily for military applications. Dynamic Instruments expanded this product line developing digital recording and audio switching equipment for both the commercial and military markets.
